What to Expect
We ask that you call ahead to schedule an appointment to allow the time necessary to do a thorough consultation and exam. Your body is a unique machine and therefore requires specific tools to get back in top-working condition. In order to give an accurate assessment of your health, a one-on-one relationship is crucial. At the first visit, you can expect a thorough health evaluation, focusing on your area(s) of concern and your overall health. Whether in-office or remote, first visits usually last around an hour, depending on the complexity of your case. Health History In preparation for your consultation, you will be asked to fill out our Welcome Form or Registration Form to provide background info about your state of health, family medical history, any pre-existing medical conditions or prior injuries, previous or current health providers and treatments, an informed consent, and privacy policy. Once completed, we review what you’ve recorded, take a full history, and ask questions related to your problem. In-Office Examination We will do a comprehensive health evaluation. In addition to recording general biometrics, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, reflexes, we will do a focused non-invasive assessments of your entire health to evaluate the function of your nervous system, ranges of motion, posture, and the structural alignment of your body. We may even discuss any previous or current stressors in your life. Will I be treated on my first visit? Typically the first visit consists of a time to gather information about your current state of health. For tele-health consultations, we will schedule a second call within 24-48 hours to go over recommendations. However, with in-office visits, if we determine that our quality care services will be beneficial to you, we may begin treatment on your first visit. On your second visit we will discuss any treatment plan recommendations and provide you with a report of findings that includes a custom health blueprint to address your health concerns and maximize your health, longevity and vitality. What does the care consist of during visits? At Functional Health & Chiropractic Care in Addison, TX, we provide a variety of non-invasive holistic healing modalities and therapies. When you visit our office, we will help you understand all of your care options and recommendations prior to beginning any course of treatment.
